Overview

The Logistics Supervisor oversees daily feeding operations to ensure safe, accurate, and timely part delivery for production. The role manages staffing, workflow, performance, and standards, while partnering with HR, Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

 

Operational & Supervisory Responsibilities 

  • Ensure daily productivity, feeding, and safety targets are met
  • Monitor workflow, staffing, and material accuracy to support continuous production
  • Enforce SOPs, company policies, and safety standards
  • Support production changes and priority shift as needed

People Leadership

  • Manage schedules, timekeeping, attendance, and PTO
  • Provide daily direction, coaching, training, and performance documentation
  • Address employee concerns and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Promote a positive, safe, and accountable team culture

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate production‑impacting issues promptly and accurately
  • Partner with Production and Quality to resolve issues and meet operational goals
  • Provide clear updates to leadership on staffing and performance

Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain required training, performance, and safety records
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support continuous improvement efforts
  • Second shift position, training on first
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)

 

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or 2 years of equivalent industry-specific experience
  • 2 to 4 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Automotive or manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • 1-3 years of industry related experience preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coach, develop, and manage performance
  • Effective conflict resolution and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to communicate production‑impacting issues promptly
  • Strong task prioritization and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to adapt quickly, adjust staffing, and support production flow

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: 

Powered Industrial Vehicle certification or experience (Train-the-Trainor preferred)

 

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand and walk on the production floor for extended periods (8–10 hours per shift)
  • Ability to kit parts manually or using mechanical assistance, handling components up to 35lbs
  • Ability to perform all tasks required of a Line 2 Team Member
