Overview

Logistics Supervisor is responsible for developing and maintaining the department’s standard operating procedures, and monitors, and manages logistics operations utilizing analog and digital systems of record. Manages subordinate’s priorities and operational timeline to ensure timely receipt, storage and delivery of parts to the MSV production line.

Responsibilities

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and policies for the logistics department.
  • Ensure all work is performed by procedure across daily operations.
  • Operate and Maintain Hyundai Powered Industrial Vehicles in accordance with published standard operating procedures and OSHA requirements. 
  • Train newly assigned Team Members. 
  • Audit Team Members’ work for productivity and accuracy.
  • Achieve daily productivity goals by leading and motivating warehouse hourly Team Members. 
  • Ensure OEM service parts and customer orders are properly handled within the warehouse. 
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Maintaining a consistent work pace, utilizing time effectively, and completing tasks within designated timeframes.
  • Adhering to 5S principles for a clean and organized work environment. 
  • Receive cross training on additional Logistics functions.
  • Demonstrating flexibility to support continuous improvement activities for personal and company growth. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)

 

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or 3 years equivalent industry specific experience required
  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience in the Automotive industry (Preferred)

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal management skills

 

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • SAP experience

 

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Powered Industrial Vehicle Certification (Preferred)

 

Working Conditions:  Walking and Standing on the production floor, occasional travel as needed.
