Overview

The Logistics Feeding Assistant Manager oversees material control, operating standards, inventory management, and Inbound/ln-House logistics flow. Managing operation staff in day-to-day department activities ensuring MOBISD policies and procedures are carried out to achieve established business company goals and objectives in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Logistics Planning

  • Support to develop logistics layout (area, stock level, location, logistics flow, feeding method, dock)
  • Support to design logistics equipment (Rack, High-rack, special rack, cart, in-house package, and dolly)
  • Ensure all work is performed by procedure, including Loading/unloading, Package waste, OS&D, feeding foolproof, and count inspection.
  • Analyze man-hours and input equipment for the logistics plan
  • Develops ongoing strategic analyses across supply chain activities and set up a contingency plan
  • Manage and monitor metrics for MonthlY/Weekly logistics reports (stock level, logistic cost, downtime, shortage)
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas

Plant Wide Logistics

  • Responsible for overseeing the management of return package
  • Report on daily activities/problems/solutions etc.
  • Ensures all inventory hold locations are appropriately allocated and visually identified (label, location)
  • Audits incoming material in accordance with MOBIS procedures for the quantity of material
  • Managing Warehouse Team Member
  • Direction to all warehouse team members
  • Responsible for training team members based on Work Instruction
  • Use independent judgment in assigning, distributing, and coordinating the work of the team
  • Conduct team member evaluations or staffing company evaluations
  • Comply with and promote safety in the workplace, including attendance at safety meetings as well as conducting safety meetings when necessary
  • Follow all safety regulations relating to the warehouse and production floor
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Qualifications

(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)

 

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Just in Sequence production control field in the Automotive industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or industrial system engineering
  • Experienced in the automotive industry - Plant start-up desired
  •  

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Comprehensive problem-solving skills across the logistics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

 Working Conditions:

  • Traversing around the production floor
  • Occasional travel as needed
