Overview

The Module Development Assistant Manager (Bilingual, English/Korean) is responsible for ensuring that all products developed by suppliers comply with engineering and manufacturing specifications, as well as company standards. This role requires independent judgment to make decisions in managing suppliers for manufacturing, initial quality, and other operational processes. Additionally, the Module Development AM must ensure that quality programs align with regulatory requirements and actively seek out new, potential suppliers to support company objectives.

  • Driving the supplier quality performance, including new product development and product quality improvement.
  • Manages a supplier pool (incl. potential suppliers) and conduct performance evaluations and quality control audits in the database for in-house access by company and manufacturing management team.
  • Coordinates with suppliers to influence performance decisions in new product development, ensuring quality standards are met from the initial FEM development stage through to stable supply.
  • Researches and advises MALSV on potential future vendors by gathering and evaluating performance data relevant to parts manufacturing processes.
  • Supports suppliers and related departments to ensure adherence to agreed-upon manufacturing processes, dimensions, compliance standards, and delivery schedules.
  • Independently communicates and resolves concerns between suppliers, Mobis, and customers to foster continuous improvement in working relationships.
  • Consults with management on future products and projects, providing insights and guidance based on assessments of supplier performance and quality.
  • Holds authority to sever ties with suppliers that do not meet regulatory standards or fail to fulfill their commitments.
  • Is empowered to independently make decisions and implement corrective actions with suppliers when they fail to meet agreed-upon quality standards or requirements.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required.
  • 1 years of experience in Automotive industry
    • (Development, Procurement, SQE, SQA, Manufacturing Control)
  • Experienced in automotive assembly/manufacturing

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Understand IATF16949, ISO, VDA 6.3 overall
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Analytic skills in engineering drawing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual, English/Korean

 

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Chemical etc.)
  • 1 years of experience in Automotive industry
